Paul Schneider

Paul
is a partner with SSP, an outplacement and executive coaching firm with offices in Oakbrook
Terrace, Chicago,
Deerfield, Racine, WI and St. Louis, MO.
He
has over 25 years of human resources professional experience in a
variety of industries from the plant level to corporate
headquarters (Reynolds Metals Company, International Harvester,
USG Corporation, Griffith Laboratories).
His experience encompasses all areas of human resources.
Prior to founding SSP, Paul was Vice
President-Human Resources for Griffith Laboratories and held the
senior level human resources position for U.S. Gypsum Company, a
$1.3 billion subsidiary of USG Corporation, a Fortune 100 company.
Mr.
Schneider holds a Master’s Degree from Loyola University’s
Institute of Human Resources and Industrial Relations.
His main area of concentration was organizational
development and human resources planning.
He received his B.A. in Political Science from St.
Benedict’s College (Kansas).
Paul has done additional work in marketing, manufacturing,
strategic planning and finance at Northwestern’s Kellogg
Graduate School of Management.
He
formerly served on the Board of Directors and Secretary for Human
Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC);
and a former
Board Member and Secretary for International Association of
Corporate and Professional Recruiters (IACPR) and Board of
Advisors for Loyola University.
He also was on the Board of Directors for Outplacement
International Partners (OI Partners), the world’s largest career
partnership.
In
November 2000, Mr. Schneider was named by Loyola University’s
Institute of Human Resources and Industrial Relations “Alumnus
of the Year”. He is
the first recipient of the award for his contribution to students,
alumni, and faculty of The Institute.
In
May 2002, OI Partners named Paul as “OI Partner of the Year”.
SSP was awarded “OI Partner Firm of
the Year”.
In November, 2002, Mr. Schneider was honored by the Human
Resources Association of Chicago as “Colleague of
Distinction”. This
award recognizes Paul as an individual who has been an active
human resources practitioner and advanced the HR profession.
The HRMAC Board unanimously approved Schneider’s
nomination.
Paul has been quoted in Harvard University’s MBA
Journal, Human Resource Executive Personnel Journal and The
Chicago Tribune. In
addition, he has taught human resource courses at Northwestern,
Loyola and Benedictine Universities. |
